Music

Music has been a big part of my life since I was a little girl which is why it naturally made perfect sense to mix music and medicine. Growing up, I was classically trained in the piano and violin and performed in several symphonies and orchestras as well as a solo piano performance in Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. I also played the clarinet and was a part of the Purdue Varsity Band.

Despite having a very strong background in classical music, my true passion was in the art of DJ-ing electronic dance music, specifically house music. I have DJ’d since my early teenage years and all throughout college, medical school, residency, and fellowship, held a resident DJ spot for a few years during residency and fellowship, and had the opportunity to DJ for 7 hours on Erno Laszlo’s (skin care company) float during the 2015 New York City Pride Parade. Now, DJ-ing has become a form of wellness for me.
